What lubricants should we use?

Manufacturers usually suggest certain lubricants for winter storage. Do these suggestions match what you've seen in practice, or have you found other methods that work better?

My new favorite is Lucas gun oil. Both red and blue seem fine. Though, I used ordinary 3 in 1 oil for many years.

One of the best and cost effective is Marvel Mystry Oil
I buy it by the gallon to use in my gas tank for fuel injector cleaning, and use as any light oil.
It is on the shelf @ Wal-Mart and Meijer stores...Bill

MMO is good stuff. I have used it on firearms, no issues. I use it as pneumatic oil, gas additive, honing oil, cutting oil, transmission additive, electric motor oil, anything I want a thinner oil for.

Original K-Y is good, but they have a warming one that's nice. Astro-Glide is probably the slickest.
