I’ve been thinking about home defense lately and what I keep near my bed. What firearm do you have close by at night, and do you have any tricks for securing it safely?

Pick the one you are most familiar with and have absolute confidence you can hit what you aim at.

At the moment, a Glock 19 with light. I have a double 12 as optional equipment. Depends on whether the noise is inside or outside. 4 legged varmints are the bigger problem here.
