Is carbine gas outdated?

With all the components we have today, is there still a real benefit to using carbine gas on a 16" rifle?

Carbine gas? I’m confused.

I expect gas operated carbines. A bit of an extra hassle to deep clean, but still an effective system, particularly in select fire weapons likely to see a lot of rounds in a short time.

If you want to talk about carbide gas we should switch to a different forum. Lol
