Which mag makers have stood out to you and earned your respect over the past year?

It depends.
1911: CMC RPM (current carry,) Wilson #47 and ETM (but not the 47D,) Tripp Cobra Mags. The Cobra Mag followers are awesome in the Wilson #47 bodies. CMC is now owned by Wilson, but still have their own line.
Every other handgun: Mec-Gar and stock mags, which are often made by Mec-Gar. The only mag from Mec-Gar I've found questionable is the one for the 1911, but I'm pretty sure it's a rebranded ACT mag anyway.
