Replacement of the hinges will be the long term fix.
Short term fix==Pull the pins, one at a time, and coat with a light grease==This will work into the rough areas and last for awhile..Bill.

I like a graphite grease. Pulling the pins to grease will help a lot to get in those tight places. It will stain clothing. If the door has noticeable movement from hinge wear, they need replaced. 3 in 1 oil will buy you more time than WD-40.
Our houses shrink and expand through the season, particularly here with the ground freeze and thaw. Doors don’t fit right on older homes in the winter. If you plane them, you may have a gap in the summer season when they shift back.
