I remember one chilly morning when I nestled into a cedar thicket. I was starting to think it might be a quiet day when this solid 8pt buck completely oblivious and sniffing around about 60yds away. I took my shot, and he dropped right there. It was one of those perfect wind, a stealthy approach, and a sprinkle of luck
But what made it even more special was being able to share that experience with my buddy, who was hunting over on the next ridge. We met up, field dressed the deer together, and packed it out as the sun was setting. Honestly, it doesn’t get much better than that!
