What about your family? Do you have any unique Thanksgiving traditions? Ours, once we finish eating and have dessert, we draw names for our Secret Santa. If we opt for the fake Christmas tree that year, the family members who aren’t in the kitchen will take the whole day to set it up and decorate it :ROFLMAO:

I grew up in the country on a few acres with a small pond that had a large bank of dirt around it. When I was a kid, my father’s brothers and sisters would all get together at our place. That meant all the cousins would be there. Four of us boys were roughly the same age and would spend the afternoon out shooting our .22s into the bank of the pond. No tin can was safe that day! There must be thousands of pounds of lead in the bank of that ol’ pond. It’s all filled in now, nothing left but memories, but it may be a good place to open a mine.

I couldn't help but laugh at the part where the pond bank turned into a lead reserve. I know a few places from my childhood that could probably be mined just like that. It’s amazing how those little moments stick with you more than anything else.
