Off to Gunsite After Almost 50 Years

I first wrote to Gunsite for info in, I think, 1979. I would’ve been 13 or 14. The place had only existed three years at the time. Now, pushing 50 years later, I haven’t made it there yet. I’ve had off-site classes from them, taken classes from current and former Gunsite instructors, but I’ve never made it to the actual place.

It looks like this is the year. I’m signed up and have a deposit down on their core class, API 250 General Pistol. Five days of fun and frolic in the desert this fall that leads up to their annual Alumni Shoot the day after the class ends.

To say I’m excited doesn’t cover it.
