Never practicing drawing from concealment is a concern

Dry firing at home is one thing. Drawing from under a garment, from concealment or under any kind of stress is a different movement pattern. If you carry but only practice at the range where the gun is already out, you've got a gap that needs filling.

I agree Mike, but for ME..That kind of practice is only done at home, with snap caps in my firearm..
I do NOT "John Wayne" at the range...Bill.

One gun club I belong to doesn’t allow drawing from the holster and one does. The one that does, and also has a rifle range 2.5 times as long, is at least three times away from home.
Naturally.

While I don’t shoot them as regularly anymore, IDPA and USPSA matches have given me a lot of practice between those range trips over the years. People who turn their noses up at competitions for being unrealistic often forget about such upsides.

While on the subject of drawing from the holster…
If and when we get the chance to capture our draw on video we should take it. Most of us are surprised by how much wasted motion we have or how many little sloppy errors we make. Seeing is believing.

Too bad mine can’t be captured on video. Sometimes I envy the rest of you.

It’s difficult to predict how a little adrenaline will affect your hand eye coordination. That’s why military training includes so much repetition. They want instinctive, if not thoughtless, response every single time so the outcome is completely predictable. Practice does make a difference.
