Game Warden Encounters and Stories

I once had a game warden spot me from afar while I was fishing and thought he was going to give me a hard time, but he ended up sharing some great tips instead. Anyone else have a story where a warden surprised them?

I was out fishing by myself along this peaceful stretch of river one early morning, just enjoying the peace. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a game warden appeared. I thought he might check my fishing license or ask how my catch was going, but instead, he surprised me by asking if I’d seen any otters around. Apparently, he was trying to keep tabs on a little family that had moved into the area recently.

We ended up talking for a bit, and man he shared some tips with me about reading water flow and spotting fish movements that I’d never thought about before. It was such an unexpected conversation, but honestly, it turned out to be one of the most helpful exchanges I've had while fishing. It really goes to show you sometimes you come across some pretty valuable insights when you least expect it, even from a game warden
