Hit up a local lake here in Indiana last weekend for some bass fishing. I was out solo, which is always nice for some quiet time. The water was surprisingly clear, and the weather was just right—about 70 degrees and overcast. Used my trusty spinnerbait and managed to snag a few decent ones, nothing huge but enough to keep things interesting. Had a couple of missed strikes that felt promising but no luck on those. Always forget how much fun it is to just be out there, even if the fish aren't biting like crazy. Anyone else been out this year? How's it looking in your neck of the woods?

I fished a private pond a couple of weeks ago. I didn't even get a nibble. Just the same, being out there and wetting a line is always time well spent.
