Best Budget Scope for Deer Hunting Under $300

Looking for a reliable scope for deer season that won't break the bank. Under $300, I'd like to hear about durability and how well they hold zero after a few trips in the field. What's worked for you?

There are several models of the Vortex Diamondback series that are in that price range. Vortex makes very high quality optics for the price, and their "lifetime warranty" is backed up by the company.

+1 on Vortex scopes.

I picked up a Vortex Vanquish from Midway USA a couple of years ago for about $120. I put it on my 35 Whelen. The glass is ultra clear. The scope has held zero through a couple of hundred high recoil rounds. I don't believe the Vanquish is available now. You can find lots of Vortex optics for less than $200.

I have a couple of Vortex scopes and they do the job. Have gotten 2 from these guys, Indiana company, fast shipping and they are a factory authorized refurbished dealer so the refurbished scopes carry the full lifetime warranty.
