I've been a Beretta guy for years and have had my share of various 92 variants over the years. Recently, the 92GTS has caught my interest, but I haven't been able to find one locally to try out. I’d love to hear from anyone who has actually spent time with it. How does it compare to the earlier 92s in terms of feel and reliability?

You have me curious now. I’m still enjoying the original 92’. I like it plenty as is. What sort of improvements are you hoping for? Is it a carry piece, a -just in case- gun, or a competitive use?

I’ve found them to be well made and reliable. And of course, that’s what Uncle Sam provided.

What really caught my eye about the GTS is its focus on ergonomics and refinement rather than addressing any major flaws. Features like the updated grip texture, rail configuration, and the G-style decocker-only setup are definitely intriguing. For me, it's more like a range companion or a “just in case” option, perhaps even a training piece since I’ve spent quite a bit of time with the 92. I’m mostly curious to see if it genuinely feels like a significant upgrade in hand or if it’s just a revamped 92 with some nice enhancements. Also, it’s hard to argue against something that Uncle Sam has relied on for so long :ROFLMAO:

I see they call it “Double/Single action”. Does this mean it can be carried cocked and locked like the original CZ75?
