What’s your truck gun?

What’s everyone’s go-to truck gun? Here’s my temporary setup at the moment!

Whatever I am carrying that day. Usually a .38 revolver. As of late, a model 64 S&W. I usually downshift to a model 60 in warmer months.

If I’m in the field, I’ll often go to a single action Ruger and open carry on the hip.

My EDC is always with me. The gun that stays in the truck is a Rossi R92 in .44 mag stuffed in a soft case. I'm in our woods a lot and while it may seem a little over powered i can tell you how many times that I've been cutting wood during deer season and had a curious deer walk up fairly close to me. Funny as now that I keep the rifle in the truck I've not had any deer do that.

I see far more deer on my place now that I quit hunting. I think word gets around … lol

I’ll amend to say I have kept a .308 Garand as a truck/minivan rifle. Although long, the Garand is pretty slim and would fit a lot of places a short magazine-fed rifle would not. Think gaps left in the recesses when a third row seat is folded.

Cupholders were meant for loaded Garand clips, btw.
