Ruger 10/22 Take Down

A friend has one he won in a club raffle. I only saw him shoot it once or twice. The rat.
I like takedowns of any kind, so I look at them now and then. I have a Ruger PC9 I put in the Magpul stock. If I got a takedown 10/22, I’d lie awake nights until I had it in the same stock to have big brother and little brother.

How do you like the PC 9? Is it a take down? With high cap mags? Oooo
I like it, yes it is, and yes it has. I got it pretty soon after they came out. I was looking for a long gun I could carry on the motorcycle. When taken down, the length of the longest
part- the barrel and forend- just fits in a saddlebag.
It shoots better than I expected. I put a Holosun green dot on it. I used a mount that replaces the rear sight on the barrel so it holds zero.
When Magpul finally had their stock ready for these, I got one. I really like the idea of the two halves clipping together so it’s one grab-and-go unit. A 21-rd or shorter mag stores in the stock, so if you can take any of it, you’ve got a complete rifle and some ammo.
It’s still a PCC, so is short of a “real rifle” but it’s a lot easier to shoot than a pistol.
