Best 9mm Carry Ammo Recommendations

I've been looking into different 9mm self-defense ammo for my EDC, but with so many options out there, it’s overwhelming. Any recommendations on hollow points that you feel comfortable carrying? Would love to hear your thoughts based on experience.

I like Hornady Critical Duty/Defense, and Federal HST, in that order.

I prefer the 124/125 gr. weights as a rule.

I normally carry the Hornadys, because I like to be able to observe the cannelure to see if I ever get "Set Back" , due to several chamberings and unloading's.

What kind of gun are you packing? Since some pistols really seem to like specific bullet weights or shapes.

For field use, I stay old school and stick with military hard ball. There is a reason the military still uses it. Unequalled reliability with great penetration through layers.

Now, in close quarters with friendlies nearby, I use a frangible bullet to reduce the likelihood a stray would go through the wall. DMT has been very affordable. I have had no issues with it.
