Is .45 really better than 9mm?

Its all personal choice.

With the advancements in ammunition manufacturing they're about neck n neck in ballistics and lethality. It the game of small n fast vs big n slow.

In the end, it makes a bigger hole. Comparing military hard ball to military hard ball. Comparing same brand and make of hollow point to the same brand and make of hollow point, the .45 still makes a bigger hole.

Although I used to carry a gov’t .45. I do prefer the 9mm now simply because of the higher capacity for similar size and weight. It is more than enough cartridge to get the job done.

9mm for training, carrying, or when I just want something efficient but if I want that classic big bore sensation, it'll be the .45 no doubt.
